What are the costs for joining?

The costs for playing on a Munay team will vary for each team, depending on the league and events they decide to participate in, and any additional training. Costs for the 2022-2023 year starts at $750.00 per season, which include all training sessions and games covered by a professional & licensed trainer, league fees, insurance costs, etc.  Additional costs include training gear (optional) and game day uniforms, which are purchased separately through our vendor Macron. We are very reasonably priced in comparison with other local travel and academy clubs.

How do I join a team?

Munay offers tryouts each year, normally in the Spring season, where new players are able to tryout out for their respective age group team. Once a tryout is complete, a player is notified whether they were selected to join a team. Due to roster limitations, a spot on any team is not guaranteed for any player, including existing team players.

My child is not old enough to join an Academy team. What other options do I have?

Munay teams start at the U9 level, so if your child is between the ages of 4 – 8 and is interested in getting a head start, we offer Youth Programs, Camps & Training throughout the year. All of our Youth Programs are run by Munay Trainers! Visit our Youth Program links for more information.

How can I make a payment?

We offer several payment options. If paying by check, Munay Soccer Academy, P.O. Box 1959 Ossining NY 10562. If paying by Zelle, please use the following email address: accounting@munaysocceracademy.com

Finally, you may also pay via PayPal (accounting@munaysocceracademy.com)

What is the expected time and travel commitment for the season / year?

There are 10 league games each season. Normally, half of the games are home games, so you only travel to approximately five away games each season. Games are played either on Saturdays (NYCSL) or Sundays (NYCSL / WYSL), however this may change if games need to be rescheduled. During the season, each team holds 2 (two) sessions with a trainer for practice time, and the trainer/coach is also present during the game on the weekend. If your child is on a team, they are expected to have priority with the team, even if they are involved in other sports/clubs/events.

Are there any fundraising opportunities or scholarships available?

Yes, there are fundraising opportunities available to all teams and players. You may reach out to us or speak to your team manager for more information. To apply for a Scholarship / Financial Assistance, click here.

What is a Recreational Player?

A Recreational Player is a new alternative to joining one of our teams. A player might consider becoming a Recreational Player for a team if, for example, a team already has a full roster or if a player only wants to train with a team. A Recreational Player will not be issued a player pass, however, they will be able to attend all training sessions, scrimmages and possibly join the team as a guest player for tournaments.

What are the disciplinary procedures for a player/parent/coach involved in Munay?

Munay expects all parties involved, including players, parents, and coaches to represent the club at the highest standards. If there are any issues that arise, please see DISPUTE RESOLUTION for our disciplinary procedures.
